Rihanna for Mac Viva Glam – Viva Glam RiRi

We mentioned to you in November that Rihanna was Named as the Face of MAC Viva Glam for 2014. About 2 hours ago at 10:45 am, Rihanna released a teaser pic of her collaboration with MAC in the new VIVA GLAM Campaign featuring the singer who has released at least 3 collections so far with the multinational makeup company. Unlike the Riri Hearts Summer, Fall & Holiday collections which featured an assortment of lipsticks, bronzers, makeup palettes, and brushes, the Viva Glam campaigns usually consist of a single lipstick and lipgloss (Previous Viva Glam ‘models’ consisted of Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga). Nicki Minaj’s Viva Glam lipstick was ‘Viva Glam Nicki” so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Rihanna Viva Glam lipstick was named “Viva Glam RiRi”. Rihanna’s lipstick will arrive online on January 21st (North America).

Here’s the AD Campaign:

Here’s my new AD Campaign with @MACcosmetics for !!! Coming soon to http://MACcosmetics.com  pic.twitter.com/eZ5R0kq4jS

It is safe to assume that she is wearing Viva Glam RiRi on her lips. If we extract the color off her lips on photoshop, this is the shade we get:
Viva-Glam-Rihanna-Possible-Shade
The lipstick appears to have a soft sheen/gloss to it, unlike the matte finish of RiRi Woo which is the closest RiRi Shade in the MAC RiRi World. Of course campaign photos are often edited as well, but the MAC Viva Glam RiRi shade should be around this shade, with a dash of sheen, which will make it appear lighter on flash.
Lady Gaga came out with 2 Viva Glam Lipsticks & Glosses, while Nicki Minaj also came with 2 Viva Glam Lipsticks & Glosses as well, so Rihanna most likely with have 2 Viva Glam lipsticks and glosses (though we will have to wait 1-2 years for the second Viva Glam lipstick to come out). Viva Glam is a campaign created by MAC to raise HIV/AIDS awareness, and all proceeds go towards helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. All Viva Glam products are considered to be limited edition, but this shade should be more available that the RiRi lipsticks which were sold out in minutes, never to be made in production again (at time of writing).
what are your thoughts? 🙂
