Black Hole is described as a burgundy and charcoal glitter shift, but its really a charcoal and burgundy glitter shift. You can very easily see all the charcoal glitter, but the burgundy is hard to see. It gives the nail a slight burgundy slant, meaning that the finished manicure does not look like a “true black” but more of a black so black going on towards purple (I hope that makes sense!). This is microglitter in a matte base so the end result is a sandpaper textured without that sheen that normally accompanies glitter nail polishes. The burgundy can be better seen in person, but it doesn’t translate that well onto the camera. I took both video and photos of this shade, and each and every time, the finished manicured looked “slightly more charcoal” than it did in person (I used both a Nikon camera and my iPhone). The finished look looks “slightly more burgundy” in person but not too much.

I can totally see this nail polish as the lovechild for any gothic girl 🙂

Like the rest of the nail polishes in the celestial line, this nail polish has lasting power. You can get a good 4-5 days without chipping, and a good week with a great top coat. Beware of the glitter fallout when you remove this nail polish with acetone. You will have little glitter specks all over your palm and fingers which will need to be removed with further nail polish or brush off with a fan brush.
