Christian Louboutin will now include nail polish! The nail polish collection is having a soft launch this week at the NYC flagship of Saks Fifth Avenue and in all 15 U.S. Louboutin boutiques (See the display photo down below!). The first and only shade being released this month will be the Rouge Louboutin, which is the signature red on the soles of Louboutin’s heels. On August 6th 2014, the collection will be rolled out in the shoe departments of Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, as well as in select Sephoras.

On August 31 2014, the brand will introduce the remaining 30 polish shades, which have been divided into three ranges. Representatives for the company say this delayed release is “to ensure that the signature Rouge Louboutin gets the attention it deserves”.

The Pops

The Pops, designated by their silver caps, are all bright pastels and vibrant hues.

The Noirs

The Noirs, with their sultry gunmetal caps, are the more moody, dark polishes, with rich jewel tones and blackened hues.

The Nudes

Finally, there are the rose-gold capped nudes, which hold some particular intrigue for Louboutin. Based on his recent capsule collection of the same name, Louboutin Nudes capture more than just the usual beiges, off-whites, and pale pinks. Instead, he aimed to encompass a broader concept of nudes, one that’s a reflection of the wide array of colors that women actually are.
